  • Apertor Pharmaceuticals is seeking a natural products/medicinal chemist to assist in the design and production of molecular glues via semi-synthetic derivatization of natural product drug leads generated by bioengineering.
  • The successful candidate is expected to possess multiple competencies including synthetic organic chemistry and natural products chemistry working on microgram to milligram scale isolations and semi-synthetic derivatization.
  • The candidate will work closely with a diverse cross-disciplinary team of scientists, consisting of molecular biologists, immunologists, and computational chemists.
  • In addition to compound generation, the candidate will also be involved in supporting downstream sample processing, including analytical chemistry, data organization and equipment maintenance.
  • Ph. D. in synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, natural product chemistry, or related field with 4+ years of relevant industry or post-doctoral experience.
  • Advanced understanding of synthetic biology and natural product biosynthesis.
  • Familiarity with contemporary methods of molecular modeling and computational chemistry.
