We are seeking to appoint an outstanding academic administrator to be the lead for our Postgraduate Programmes and to work in partnership with the Academic Programmes Manager to coordinate all aspects of teaching and course administration.

The successful candidate for this challenging position will be of high intellectual ability, with recent and direct experience of academic administrative work in Higher Education. The work expected of you in this role will be interesting and rewarding but also diverse and demanding. You will draw on strong numeracy skills and the ability to work with large and complex datasets as well as to understand and interpret complex written information. You will work effectively to build relationships within the department and across the University and design work methods that encourage the team to work collaboratively. You will have first-rate analytical, organisational, communication and IT skills, and you will work systematically, to a high level of accuracy and to tight deadlines. You will be willing and able to work harmoniously as a team member within a culture of academic leadership, and exhibit a pleasant, helpful demeanour to students and staff. You will display a willingness to make decisions as necessary and also relate key work tasks to organizational objectives. You will have a high level of personal discretion and judgement and a mature and responsible attitude to your work.
