Job Summary:HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, in conjunction with the University Of Central Florida College Of Medicine (UCF COM), is seeking a Family Medicine Program Director for their future Family Medicine Residency Program.

Qualified Candidates:

Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family MedicineMust have a minimum of 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency ProgramHave at least 3 years of GME administrative experience prior to appointmentBe willing to combine administrative and diagnostic (teaching) responsibilitiesHave strong administrative and team building skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the program in their vision and recruit their own core facultyCandidates with recent scholarly activity such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educations organizations highly encouraged to applyThe incoming physician will receive a faculty appointment through UCF COMIncentive/Benefits Package:Competitive compensationGreat comprehensive and flexible benefits programPTO and CME time / allowanceOccurrence-based malpracticeStrong support systemAbout HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital:FWDH: 309 bed HCA level 2 trauma facility (expansion underway adding an additional 30 beds next year)Medical ICU- 33 beds (plus an additional 8 CVICU beds)Stealth navigation system with O arm and Mazor spine robotCertified primary stroke center working towards comprehensive stroke certificationCurrently hosting 3rd and 4th year D.O. students from Auburn s VCOM (D.O.)
