Job Description:
This position is in the department of Environmental Sciences in the College of the Coast and Environment for an Environmental Chemist, ideally specializing on oil related compounds. Candidates for this position will be expected to establish a rigorous extramural funded research program and teach courses in areas that could include but are not limited to the fate of natural and anthropogenic chemicals in freshwater and marine ecosystems as well as teach existing undergraduate and graduate level courses in these areas including but not limited to Introductory Environmental Sciences.

Job Responsibilities:
50% Teach courses applicable to the expertise of the applicant and needs of the Department of Environmental Sciences.
30% Develop and maintain a rigorous, externally-funded research program
10% Mentor graduate students
10% Provide intramural and extramural service to the University as well as external groups.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D in science field
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D in chemistry, biochemistry, geochemistry, toxicology, environmental science or related fields in the physical or biological sciences.
