Responsibilities*

? Provide nursing care to dermatology patients

? Provide telephone triage, patient education, direct patient care, documentation with follow-up and coordination with ancillary services and related departments

? Provide functional supervision to allied health staff

? Maintain accurate and timely records for dermatology patients

? Work with providers to develop and carry out clinical standards of care for various patient diagnoses

? Dermatology clinical resource to other MM Dermatology Clinics

Required Qualifications*

? Active Michigan RN license

? Minimum of two (2) years, out of the last five (5) years, of RN experience providing care to adult patients

? Minimum of two (2) years, out of the last five (5) years, RN experience working with dermatology patients, including but not limited to, psoriasis, inflammatory skin conditions, dermatitis, and cancerous conditions.

? Experience with documentation of patient encounters in electronic health record, e.g., Epic

? Experience with patient/family education

Desired Qualifications*

? BSN

? Minimum of one (1) year, out of the last five (5) years RN experience in an Ambulatory Care Clinic

? Proficiency with MiChart in-basket management in electronic health record, e.g., Epic

Work Schedule

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift/Hours/Days: 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, some Saturdays may be required (nontraditional including weekends/holidays commitment). Hours will be variable based on patient and volume needs, with flexibility required.

Location: Domino?s Farms Dermatology Clinic with potential to work in other dermatology locations.

All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
