A Healthcare Clinic in Central Islip, NY is hiring a Medical Receptionist to join their team We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented individual with an upbeat and personable attitude that enjoys working with others We are looking for a candidate with at least 1 year of receptionist or office experience seeking the next step in their career. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment calendars.
  • Verify patient information, insurance eligibility, and collect necessary co-payments or fees.
  • Maintain patient records by accurately entering and updating demographic and insurance information into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Assist with patient registration and check-in processes, ensuring all required forms are completed accurately.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts or issues.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, providing information about services, office policies, and procedures.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, faxes, and emails.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and front desk.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
