Here is what you will be responsible for as their Commissioning Engineering Technician:

Leads and performs the commissioning and acceptance of equipment at customer facilitiesMaintains a safe work environment by following all applicable policiesProvides input to commissioning plans and schedulesParticipates in pre-commission meetings with customers and the commissioning team.Coordinates onsite activities of equipment supplier, customer personnel to assure timely completion of tasksOptimizes machine performance and troubleshoots issues with assistance from Project Managers, Engineering, Product Line Managers, suppliers, and others to optimize the performance of machines and rectify safety, design and functionality discrepanciesTrain customer operators on proper machine operationProvides marked up drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic) and software per “as built” and returns them to the lead engineers for updating and archivingProvides written service reports to customers and within the companySupports installation of equipment hen requiredPerforms Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure finished equipment conforms to all safety, mechanical, electrical, software, designs, and customer specificationsProvides customers technical assistance in troubleshooting and servicing of equipment onsite and remotelyProvide feedback to manuals on non-standard equipment set-up proceduresRecommends changes to current engineering and quality standards to improve overall product performance and eliminate future issuesMinimum 4 year degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electro-mechanical Technology a plusMinimum of 5 years’ experience in machine design, troubleshooting and customer / field supportDeep specialized equipment process and design methodology and fundamentalsStrong technical analytical skills and experience with a broad range of converting equipmentKnowledge of equipment, the Industry, and process preferredComputer literate, familiar with Microsoft Windows and working knowledge of Excel and Word softwareReads and understands mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematicsExperience working with and troubleshooting Rockwell and / or Siemans PLC Ladder LogicRockwell, Parker, and/or Siemans drives experience a plusStrong knowledge of electrical safety best practicesExperience using quality tools and methodologiesExperience using Lean methodologies and tools Experience in incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, and troubleshootingGood communication skills both written and verbalMust be able to plan and schedule your own daily activitiesMust have, or have the ability to possess a valid passportAbility to interact with a wide variety of people including Field Service Technicians, Engineers, customers, and department managersExcellent organizational skillsKnowledge of the equipment, the industry, and processes is preferred2 year degree or certification in engineering technology, electronics, electro-mechanical is a plus

We're looking for a Commissioning Engineering Technician with the following background profile:

Two Year degree or certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology or Electro-Mechanical from an accredited technical/vocational school preferredBA or better in Engineering or related field At least 2-4 years of prior experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industryExceptional electrical/mechanical knowledge and strong aptitude to troubleshoot/diagnose/resolve problems
