Assistant Area Director

- Schedule: 40 hours in a work week, which will include extended and overnight travel
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services/Social Sciences/Criminal Justice required.
- Master's Degree preferred in Human Services/Social Sciences/Criminal Justice field
- Knowledge of Evidence Based Treatment and Programs for Criminal Justice populations
- Virginia Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) credentials must be earned within 2 years of employment as a condition of employment.
- Must maintain CSAC certification in good standing while employed
- Working closely with the Virginia Department of Corrections (VA DOC) personnel to ensure contract compliance, accountability, quality of care/fidelity, and customer satisfaction
- The implementation, administration, and monitoring of assigned correctional treatment programs in the western region as well as assisting the Area Director with sites needing special attention and acts as Area Director in the absence of the Area Director
