Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women's health conditions, hernias, oncology, and obesity. Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. was built more than 20 years ago in Cincinnati, Ohio, developing creative devices that have driven the groundbreaking shift from open to minimally invasive surgery that continues to lead the industry today.

A position is available in the Performance Evaluation Group of R&D and may include some or all of the following responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily lab operations
  • Coordinate with lab owners to organize labs and maintain lab cleanliness to be audit ready
  • Test request intake form support and subsequent coordination of lab test schedules
  • Maintain and update laboratory metrics such as sample volume, number of studies, etc.
  • Serve as the laboratory administrator for LIMS
  • Review and approve laboratory data and logbooks ensuring good documentation practices are followed
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and order when necessary
  • Assist with audit preparation and audit support
  • Coordinate equipment calibration with internal and external vendors and ensure calibration is done by the due date
  • Maintain the laboratory instrument calibration list
  • Coordinate equipment preventative maintenance and repair visits
  • Support laboratory instrument qualifications
  • Conduct weekly eye wash station inspections and monthly lab inspections
  • Identify lab maintenance issues and submit work orders for resolution
  • Ensure labs meet the temperature and humidity conditions and follow up with HVAC if necessary

Required:

• A minimum of a High School Degree with minimum 5 years experience OR bachelor's with minimum 1-2 years of experience

• Must be comfortable working/testing in a regulated medical device environment (cGMP)

• Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week

Preferred:

• Must be able to interact with internal and external auditors
