Director - Choir

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary
Sacred Heart, located in Valley Park, MO is seeking a part-time (approximately 12 hours/week) Choir Director to lead our parish liturgical music in a variety of areas, including youth, adult and contemporary choirs. A successful candidate will bring experience in recruitment and retention of choristers, and a strong desire to build community engagement throughout the parish community.

Job Responsibilities

-Lead weekly rehearsals
-Conduct at Sunday masses
-Prepare copies of music packets
-Research and prepare choral music

Job Requirements
Knowledge & Experience Requirements

-Degree in music preferably
-Experience working with youth and choirs.

-Excellent organizational skills
-Ability to work as a member and leader of a team
