Radiation Therapist

QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
Graduate of Certified Radiologic Technology School or Radiation Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification:
Current applicable state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
Registered Radiological Technologist A.R.R.T. (R) required.
BLS/CPR Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS/CPR certification.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and direction to the age of the patient/client served in this department.

Job Specific Expectations:IMAGING: Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment.
Assists with patient transport by moving patients using standard procedures.
Working knowledge of all areas within Radiation Oncology including but not limited to:
Operating knowledge of Linear Accelerators, External Beam Therapy
Treatment Simulation,
conforming treatment block manufacturing,
Patient scheduling,
Patient preparation,
Computer interfaces,
Technical applications.
Dosimetry (understanding the basics)
Working knowledge of all clinical and emergency drugs used in the Radiation Therapy department.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $2,556.00 per week
