The Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing direct patient care. The RN performs patient assessments and monitoring pre, intra and post dialysis; administers medications; obtain lab specimens; performs dressing changes.
Additional duties of the Dialysis Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care based on age-specific and military population specific components
Performs patient assessments and monitoring pre, intra and post dialysis
Administers medications
Obtain lab specimens
Performs dressing changes
Collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team
Completes all required primary patient documentation and assessments
Performs case management duties for assigned dialysis patient group
