Its Women's specialists include Breast and General Surgery, Adult Hospitalists and GYN Oncology.

The Pediatric Surgery department provides specialized, minimally invasive surgical care for a wide variety of developmental and acquired problems among children. Our highly trained professionals put great value in helping families and parents evaluate and obtain the best treatment options for their children so that they can overcome these obstacles and lead a healthy, normal life.

As a Medical Assistant, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff at KMS that provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families in our Pediatric Surgery department. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities for clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.

Preferred: One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related experience.
