Jefferson Wells has a direct hire opportunities for Tax Director with retail experience.
Experience with indirect tax workflows (such as sales tax, value added tax, property tax and business licenses) including, processing, analysis, reporting, compliance, and tax planning.
Ensure tax procedures adhere to state and local tax regulations for all state and local indirect taxes
Research and implement any legislative changes that may affect the indirect tax function
Provide support to assist with the preparation of the state income tax provisions and state income tax returns
7+ years in general corporate income tax and accounting environment
Knowledge of (one or more) Vertex, Point of Sale systems, SAP, One Source, Corp Tax, Avalara
Proficient in Microsoft Office, expert in Excel with modeling and efficient spreadsheet usage
