Join the engineering department of a major retail chain with a global presence We are dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance customer experiences and drive innovation in the retail industry. Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mobile Engineer to lead our mobile development efforts. This role offers the opportunity to report onsite twice a week in College Park, GA, and oversee multiple teams across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Position: Principal Mobile Engineer

Location: Onsite in College Park, GA (2 days/week)

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities: As a Principal Mobile Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing mobile development teams across the SDLC. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing multiple mobile development teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Architecting scalable and efficient solutions for mobile applications, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies. Providing technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle. Stepping in to code whenever necessary, conducting code reviews, and ensuring code quality and adherence to standards. Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and communicate technical concepts effectively. Driving innovation and continuous improvement within the mobile engineering department. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices, and recommending strategic technology initiatives.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mobile Engineer with expertise in mobile development across multiple platforms (iOS, Android). Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role overseeing mobile development teams. Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and best practices. Proficiency in mobile development languages and frameworks (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, React Native). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in the retail industry or consumer-facing mobile applications. Knowledge of mobile security best practices and compliance standards. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud-based mobile development platforms and services.
