 Detailed Description:
Provide expected delivery times to the Foreman or Supervisor on all items being welded and prepared for the fabrication shopChoose and process materials with precision and identify raw materials as required by Work OrderIdentify training needs required for the use of any machinesPromptly address and resolve concerns and disputes among team members, with the goal of building a stronger, more cohesive workgroupInterpret drawings to ensure compliance to weld designSafely utilize welding equipment, including gouging tools, fillet weld gauge, 4'' grinder, 6'' grinder, cutting torch, magnetic drill, and track torchMark/stamp all items with Welder Number per Operation Procedures to allow for traceability throughout manufacturingRead and interpret shop work ordersReceive materials, parts, or components issued to a Work OrderVerify that all materials and consumables meet the design and shop requirements.Label materials with Heat Numbers and Part Numbers following company procedures.Properly and safely load and unload materials/parts using hoist, forklift, and or by Manual meansProperly store all raw materials in the designated areasTransfer all finished parts to appropriate departmentsEnsure safe and clean appearance of fabrication shop in designated areaAbility to work safe in a yard and shop environment while wearing appropriate PPE, follow company guidelines and procedures and help ensure others do the sameEnsure all actions are performed in accordance with Company standards to include safety, conduct, and proper use of company resourcesAll other duties as assignedJob Requirements:
Pass a "weld test" per the Company's Welding ProceduresBe able to pass a physical pre-welding test before being sent to the actual testPossess the items listed in the Tool ListInterpret drawings to ensure compliance to weld designPerform full pin weldsRead, add, subtract and understand fractions and decimalsUse and understand weld symbols, sizes, abbreviations, notes, and welding terminologyWeld and follow company welding procedures and specificationsWeld pipe and structural steel items per design as requiredRemove all sharp edges and burrsUtilize the following tools with 100% proficiency:Tape measure and squareGouging toolsFillet weld gauge4'' and 6'' grinderUtilize the following tools as describedCutting torch: Lay out and hand cutTrack torch: Bevel steel platesSafely utilize a crane, hoist, and forkliftEnsure weld machines are calibrated and ready to useProficiently utilize the different procedures for preheating materialsAbility to read and understandAbility to weld in 3g-4g with Mig, flux core, or stick in different material thicknesses and mixed materialsAbility to pass 3g-4g weld certificationWork on a task both alone and with co-workers as needed to assist in daily activities and delivery requirementsLift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfacesAble to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawlFrequent use a variety of hand and power tools to perform a range of mechanically oriented functions including independent use of heavy-duty handheld and long-handled toolsClear vision to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch, and report ongoing work activities to coworkers and third partiesListen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problemsMaintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objectsWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated timesMinimum Qualifications
All Level Requirements: 
1-2 years relevant welding work experienceAdditional Details:
An offer for this position is contingent upon successful completion of the following items with a satisfactory outcome.
Pass a 3g and4g weld certification immediately upon hirePhysical pre-welding test to demonstrate competencyWeld test per the Company's welding guidelines and procedures. 
This position requires work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The candidate will be regularly exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the Rig Up Yard  is located.
The candidate must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. They must be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days, and occasionally nights, weekends and holidays.
