Phase I/II Environmental Assessor: Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Environmental Assessor in our Denver, CO/Raleigh, NC/Tampa, FL office(s). As an Environmental Assessor, you will serve as an integral member of our environmental team. Summary TEP is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Assessor to conduct, complete, and assist in reviewing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments for telecommunications projects throughout the United States pursuant to ASTM E1527-21 & ASTM E1903-19. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in biological/physical/environmental sciences
  • 3+ years of experience assisting with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and tasks under the supervision of an Environmental Professional
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Familiarity with ASTM1527-21
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work with office machinery including computers, fax machines, copier, etc.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional writing and proofing skills
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
  • Ability to perform field work outside in a variety of weather conditions and terrain
  • Comfortable with solo fieldwork, including airline travel/booking travel and accommodations within a budget
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Conduct project research as applicable to the scope of work
  • Data compilation and organization
  • Conducting site reconnaissance, including soils & groundwater field sampling, as deemed necessary
  • Technical report writing
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule
  • Identify and resolve issues with projects and provide solid recommendations to the Due Diligence Manager and Director of Environmental Regulatory Compliance
  • Assist in reviewing and redlining Phase I ESA reports as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands Work Environment Approximately 25% performed in an external environment, on-site, outdoors, exposed to the elements of nature working under normal construction conditions. Approximately 75% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Hybrid work schedule (three days in office) is available following a 60-day probationary period.
