Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Cavazos, Texas.



Duties
  • Provide assistance with personal hygiene and other activities of daily living, to include, but not limited to, changing bed linens, collecting and bagging soiled linens, distributing food trays, filling water pitchers and collecting trash.
  • Assist with ambulation, and movement from bed to chair, bed to bathroom, and bed to gurney.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic support duties which include assisting the physician in bedside examinations and procedures.
  • Change dressings, insert and irrigate catheters, irrigate colostomies, perform oral suctioning, set-up and connect various drainage and suction tubes and assure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Transport patients off the unit to appointments or procedures.
  • Take and chart vital signs and record in nursing notes patient's progress, reaction to treatment or procedure, and any change in condition.
  • Assist with admissions to include obtaining and recording height, weight, and other pertinent information.
