ENGINEERING INTERN

ENGINEERING INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Provide Engineering support to the manufacturing and sale/marketing aspects of the corporation. Position will work within the Engineering Department and reports to Chief Technical Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Engineering Launch leadership and assistance for rubber and plastic manufactured products.

Manufacturing Process support to all process lines within Jaeger-Unitek.

Sales support as related to cost quoting and manufacturing feasibility.

Customer service support as related to design, feasibility, and capability. Related process/product application problem solving and recommendations.

Engineering support for product improvements and troubleshooting.

Documentation procurement for both new launch products and revisions to existing documents, including manufacturing documents, blueprint control, and data logging.

Quality support as related to customer complaints, root cause analysis, preventative measure, and error proofing methods.

Engineering support in controls and automation projects related to manufacturing process.

Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Highly competent in required job skills and knowledge

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and leadership abilities

Ability to work in well in a collaborative team environment with a positive self-starter attitude

Strong problem-solving, time-management, and planning/organization abilities

Ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency

Proficiency with software: CAD drawing and design software (AutoCad Suite Inventory/Mechanical)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)

Proficient with 3D printing technology preferred

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from an accredited university. Degrees in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or Manufacturing Technology preferred.
