About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field such as biology, biochemistry, engineering, microbiology, molecular biology, or virology.
  • The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team to provide technical support for assays and analytical techniques, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and collaboratively with team members to provide technical support for assays and analytical techniques.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques such as statistical process control to enhance assay understanding.
  • Evaluate and implement alternative analytical techniques to improve assay performance.
  • Lead technical studies, generate reports, and support change control implementation.
  • Conduct routine analytical testing including live virus titrations and ELISAs.
  • Assist in technical investigations by identifying root causes, assessing product impact, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support technology transfers and contribute to the development of automation and process control.
  • Author and review operational procedures for equipment and processes.
  • Participate in process and equipment safety reviews, hazard analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure efficient and safe operation of process systems.
  • Perform off-shift work as needed.

Education Qualification:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, engineering (preferably chemical, biochemical, biological or similar), microbiology, molecular biology, virology, or chemistry.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent technical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of process analytics methods including statistical process control.
  • Ability to analyze issues from various perspectives and work effectively in a team.
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
    Leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with microbiological, molecular, or biochemistry principles. 
  • Experience with sterile processing, biologic or vaccine processing, and cGMP guidelines.
