The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior .NET Full Stack Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients.  As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business.  An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team.  Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Responsibilities:

  • Managing client expectations
  • Regular interactions with the business for effort estimation, task planning and execution.
  • Implementing best practices and coding standards.
  • Co-ordinate with offshore team.
  • Troubleshooting production issues.
  • Support in week-end production install.
  • Experience in Agile methodology.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions using C#.Net.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ASP.NET applications with existing systems.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality code by conducting thorough testing and code reviews.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose adaptations to current projects.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and address technical and design requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
  • Document development phases and monitor systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Required Skill:

  • 8-12 yrs of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies, including ASP.NET.
  • Familiarity with asset management operations and fund accounting is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to achieving project goals and deadlines.
