We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as an Acute Peritoneal Dialysis Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and provision of acute peritoneal dialysis services to patients in our healthcare facility. As an Acute Peritoneal Dialysis Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and care of our patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care and support.

 

Job functions
  • Perform acute peritoneal dialysis procedures for patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor patient response to peritoneal dialysis treatment and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing acute peritoneal dialysis.
  • Educate patients and their families on the purpose, process, and potential complications of acute peritoneal dialysis.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, documenting and reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all procedures, medications, and interventions related to acute peritoneal dialysis.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control measures and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications

– Current in state License as a Registered Nurse
– Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required
– 1 year nursing experience - Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis experience highly preferred

- 6 Months General dialysis experience
