Job Description

Primary Function of the Position

Reporting into the Systems Logistics Manager / Site Leader, the Warehouse Supervisor role is primarily responsible for leading a team of Material Handlers and delivering exceptional performance results related to inventory movements, order processing time and warehouse optimization.  This role will primarily partner with Logistics Coordination teams, as well as sharing best practices across other company warehousing teams.

Essential Job Duties

  • Hire, train, develop and motivate warehouse personnel to follow procedures, maintain high quality standards, uphold inventory accuracy requirements, achieve department goals and drive high productivity
  • Conduct recurring performance reviews for direct reports, supplementing with recurring performance discussions with direct reports to assist their skill development and career progression
  • Create and maintain documented procedures defining Receiving, Material Movement/Storage, Kitting, Shipping, and Labeling
  • Maintain data in compliance with SOX, FDA and regulatory controls including timely and accurate record-keeping for Inventory, Receiving and Shipping transactions
  • Optimize operational efficiency through application of Lean/Six-Sigma methods with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for short-term problem containment and long-term corrective action for performance or quality-related incidents
  • Support cycle count / inventory accuracy efforts by maintaining good transaction hygiene and well-organized warehouse utilizing 5S/7S ideas
