This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Duties
This is an open continuous announcement. First consideration will be given to all who apply by November 29, 2023. If a selection is not made, applications will be reviewed as received. Please note, the announcement may close earlier than the currently posted closing date.
The physician will be assigned to the Neurology Service and will see patients at the Myrtle Beach outpatient clinic. This involves outpatient neurologic consultations and follow-up care. Should the general neurologist have a need to refer patients to a subspecialist, these patients can be sent to the Charleston VA neurology clinic
for consultations in the fields of epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular medicine, MS, and dementia. Charleston VA also has EEG testing, neurology inpatient service and an epilepsy monitoring unit available. The interaction between the Myrtle Beach general neurologist and the Charleston VA subspecialists will be of collaborative and interactive nature outpatient care and services.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Subject to change based on agency needs).
