ASSIST THE ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR IN THE DEVELOPMENT, ORGANIZATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPREHENSIVE THERAPEUTIC RECREATION SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THAT MEET THE NEEDS AND INTERESTS OF EACH RESIDENT.
Job Description:
DEMONSTRATES THE CORE VALUES OF THE FACILITY WHEN PERFORMING THE ROLE OF THE ACTIVITIES SERVICES ASSISTANT, WITH RESIDENT/PATIENTS, FAMILY MEMBERS, FACILITY STAFF AND MEDICAL STAFF
DEVELOP PRELIMINARY AND COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENTS OF THE RECREATION SERVICE NEEDS OF EACH RESIDENT/PATIENT.
ENCOURAGE THE RESIDENT/PATIENT/FAMILY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND REVIEW OF HIS/HER PLAN OF CARE.
ENSURE THAT ALL RECREATION SERVICE PERSONNEL ARE AWARE OF THE CARE PLAN AND THAT CARE PLANS ARE USED N PROVIDING DAILY RECREATION SERVICES TO THE RESIDENT/PATIENT.
DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN A GOOD RAPPORT WITH ALL SERVICES INVOLVED WITH THE CARE PLAN TO ENSURE THAT A TEAM EFFORT IS ACHIEVED IN DEVELOPING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF CARE.
FACILITATE GROUP PROGRAMS AS ASSIGNED IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT MANNER.
COMPLETE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION.
CONTRIBUTE TO RESIDENT CARE PLANNING PREPARATION.
ATTEND AND CONTRIBUTE TO ACTIVITIES SERVICES DEPARTMENT MEETINGS.
PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMMING AS ASSIGNED.
WORK WITH VOLUNTEERS AS ASSIGNED BY ACTIVITIES SERVICES DIRECTOR/COORDINATOR.
ASSIST WITH PLANNING AND LEADERSHIP SPECIAL EVENTS.
ADHERE TO UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS AND SANITARY, SAFETY AND INFECTION CONTROL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Certified Nurse Assistant Preferred
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR EQUIVALENT WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF RECREATION SERVICE PROGRAMS.
MUST MEET STATE/FEDERAL REGULATIONS IF APPLICABLE.
MUST HAVE ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND FOLLOW ORAL AND WRITTEN DIRECTIONS AT A LEVEL NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE JOB.
MUST BE ABLE TO RELATE POSITIVELY AND FAVORABLY TO RESIDENTS AND FAMILIES AND TO WORK COOPERATIVELY WITH OTHER EMPLOYEES.
MUST MAINTAIN REGULAR ATTENDANCE.
MUST MEET ALL LOCAL HEALTH REGULATIONS, AND PASS POT-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL EXAM IF REQUIRED. THIS REQUIREMENT ALSO INCLUDES DRUG SCREENING, CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, AND REFERENCE INQUIRY.
MUST BE CAPABLE OF PERFORMING THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB, WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION.
