Solar Technician / Service Manager

Location: Greater Portland Metro Area & SW Washington

Our Solar Service Manager / Technician will be troubleshooting customer sites, working on AC & DC side solar equipment, batteries and generators, read design schematics, be well versed in electrical codes, manage schedule, occassionally be a hybrid field crew lead on installs and be willing to learn and lead.

Responsibilities:
-Perform routine inspections and maintenance on solar energy systems to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
-Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, both remotely and on-site, utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic
tools..
-Conduct regular performance assessments to monitor system output and efficiency, making necessary adjustments when
needed.
-Removal of existing solar panels and reinstalling when customer is ready
-Take notes for corrections and input notes into CRM as well as notify office of any issues or updates.
-Interface with customers in a professional and friendly manner, explaining maintenance procedures and addressing their
questions or concerns.
-Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in solar energy systems.
-Manage schedule

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical, solar, or related field required
-Limited Renewable Technician (LRT) or NABCEP Board Certified Preferred
-Proven experience in solar panel installation, maintenance, or related work 3+ years required
-Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
-Physical ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and carry equipment (with appropriate safety measures).
-Valid Drivers License Required
-Familiarity with solar inverters, monitoring systems, and associated technologies.
-Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicating technical information.
-Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
-Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
-Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
-Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided)
-Must have a clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
