Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mobile Engineer with expertise in React Native and cross-platform development tools. This role offers the opportunity to oversee multiple mobile projects in the retail space, architect mobile solutions, lead a team of engineers, and collaborate with various business departments to meet engineering needs.

Position: Principal Mobile Engineer (React Native & Cross-Platform)

Location: Onsite in the Atlanta area, GA (3 days/week)

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities: As a Principal Mobile Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting and leading the development of mobile solutions for the retail industry. Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing multiple mobile projects from conception to delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and requirements. Architecting mobile solutions using React Native and cross-platform development tools to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Leading a team of mobile engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support. Collaborating with business departments to understand and prioritize engineering needs, and communicating technical concepts effectively. Conducting code reviews, providing feedback, and implementing best practices to maintain high-quality code standards. Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to mobile development, and recommending innovative solutions to enhance our mobile offerings.

Requirements:

Expert knowledge of mobile development, with extensive experience in both Android and iOS platforms. Proficiency in React Native and cross-platform development tools (e.g., Expo, Xamarin, Flutter). Proven experience architecting and leading the development of mobile solutions for consumer-facing applications. Strong understanding of mobile app design principles, user interface guidelines, and best practices. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the retail industry or consumer-facing mobile applications. Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs. Knowledge of mobile security best practices and performance optimization techniques. Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines for mobile applications. Active participation in the mobile development community or tech conferences.
