SUMMARY: The Food and Beverage Supervisor for Summit Hospitality Group hotels is responsible for directing and organizing the activities of the F&B department, maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality service, quality, and merchandizing to please guests and maximize profits.

PREREQUISITES:

Experience at brand hotels, preferably Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott

Knowledge of event sales, pre and post event planning, and hands-on event execution

Proven ability to maintain strong group, event, staff, and management relationships.

Self-confident, eye for detail, self-motivated. Demonstrated ability as an advocate of service excellence and teamwork. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends. Brand management awareness relating to guest satisfaction and local/regional property marketplace identity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieves financial goals regarding food and labor costs.

Ability to create high quality menu products and servings for designated brand standard.

Preparation of meals according to plate photos and recipe cards

Works all kitchen stations.

Knowledge of all kitchen equipment

Establishes and delivers exceptional sanitation practices.

Competent in all set-up and service banquet functions

Ability to make work schedules according to event needs.

Supports hotel’s/F&B training needs and efforts.

Advocate service excellence and teamwork to meet and exceed Guest Satisfaction benchmarks for franchisee and SHG business model standards. Ability to maintain all accounts payable and check book account functions. Ability to accurately use and order products according to budget. Ensures work environment complies with Health Department rules and regulations including refrigeration, storage, and work areas are clean and in proper working order. Notifies Operations Manager/General Manager of hazardous or potentially malfunctioning equipment or service products. Duties are subject to change and additional responsibilities/tasks may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent. Courses in Food & Beverage service from accredited community/four-year college preferred.

Minimum two years management experience

Safe-Serv certified.

Demonstrated ability to train staff in all F&B service levels.

Well-developed communication skills for guest problem solving.

Competent in all Micros reports

Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume situations/events.

Must have the ability to read, speak, and write in the English language in order to communicate with guests and staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.

Valid driver’s license

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Standing, lifting, walking, reaching and bending for extended periods of time

Extreme temperature ranges from hot to cold
