Position Overview

The Corporate Controller position is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial functions of the Company. The primary responsibility of the Corporate Controller is to supervise the accounting department, organize the financial statements, provide business insight into financial data and create the goals of the company pertaining to matters of accounting. The position has several direct reports covering the employees and leads of the US and worldwide general accounting team, accounts payable, financial analysis, internal audit, billing, collecting, licensing and finance information systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead all day-to-day accounting and finance functions for the worldwide team
  2. Manage and direct financial analysis and the monthly close, including the annual worldwide consolidation of the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement
  3. Implement process improvements and set goals to improve operations from an effectiveness and efficiency perspective
  4. Provide comprehensive updates to management by evaluating and analyzing financial data
  5. Help develop operational strategies and enforce internal controls
  6. Ensure timely completion of the annual review from our public accounting firm
  7. Manage the annual tax return preparation process
  8. Maintain appropriate insurance coverages and enhance as needed
  9. Maintain and continually enhance a monthly finance dashboard report
  10. Implement technological improvements to our core accounting system to help with effectiveness of the system and efficiency of the team
  11. Endeavor on cost savings initiatives within finance and across the organization
  12. Create budgets, forecasts, and financial targets

This position is also responsible for ensuring the following:

Quality Policies and Procedures

  1. Facilitates team meetings to update team members on current processes and business roadmaps
  2. Ensures that the team is aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality policy and quality objectives as applicable; Ensures the team adheres to all company policies and mandatory compliance protocols as required by eCW
  3. Coordinates ongoing process analysis and process improvement efforts within the department
  4. Holds interdepartmental meetings to receive feedback and finalize process changes

Communication

  1. Attends internal review meetings with other departments to ensure a good understanding of changes and their impact on the respective departments
  2. Communicates process changes to team members regularly
  3. Effectively communicates relevant process improvement updates to eClinicalWorks senior management team on a consistent basis

KPIs and Training

  1. Tracks resource performance using baseline KPIs on an ongoing basis
  2. Conducts annual reviews based on performance and KPIs
  3. Determines the necessary competence for personnel performing work affecting product and/or process quality as applicable
  4. Provides training or takes other actions to achieve or maintain the necessary competence

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  2. 10+ years of experience in a finance position with increasing responsibility
  3. 4+ years of finance management experience
