Las Vegas Rehabilitation, Recovery, and Renewal (LVR3) (SUD-DOM): The Supervisory Nurse - Mental Health would be accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Designated first-line supervisory authority, responsibility and accountability for the 24/7 operations of his/her respective clinical area. Able to give advice, counsel, or instruct to assigned personnel. LVR3 is a 24/7 operation that is divided by two units 1E/1N. Flexible with schedule to ensure supervisory coverage is accessible. Able to rotate on call status in case of unit emergencies. This ANM position is 70% clinical and 30% administrative.

Outpatient Mental Health: TheAssistant Nurse Manager (ANM) - Behavioral Health Outpatient Nursing would be accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Designated first-line supervisory authority, responsibility and accountability for the Monday thru Friday operations of his/her respective clinical area, and able to travel to different PCC's for coverage. This ANM position is 70% clinical 30% administrative.

Duties include but not limited to:
Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work
Assigning work to assigned personnel based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and the requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of assigned personnel
Evaluating the performance of assigned personnel;
Making recommendations for appointments, advancements or reassignments of assigned personnel
Giving advice, counsel. or instruction to assigned personnel on work and administrative matters
Hearing and resolving complaints of assigned personnel and referring more serious complaints not resolved to higher level supervisors
Recommending and/or taking disciplinary action where appropriate
Identifying developmental and training needs of assigned personnel and providing or making provision for such development and training (VA Handbook 5007, Part III, Chapter 8)
