Come help us transform Lilly’s Quality Management System

Lilly has initiated a multi-year QC transformation program that will simplify and enhance Quality Management at Lilly. This is part of a broader set of enterprise wide programs focused on enabling unprecedented company growth and delivery of new modalities serving patients around the world.
 

What you’ll be doing:

Global Tech at Lilly is looking for an innovative Technical Leader to play a key role in transforming Quality Management Systems at Eli Lilly. In this role, you will also serve as the IT Associate Director partnering with the Lilly Global Digital Quality enterprise program, focused on delivering on a robust and trans-formative technology driven process improvements. You will have a leadership role in coaching, development of resources, and staffing a global organization of 7-9 team members.

Specific responsibilities of the Program Lead include:

Resource Management

• Supervise, support, and coach other MQ IDS personnel under you through regular 1:1s and continuous feedback
• Responsible for team development, performance management, reward and recognition, talent assessment and resolution of HR issues
• Develop staffing strategy with support for diversity in recruitment and development
• Forecast resource needs and manage program/project budget
• Identify, develop and retain talent while partnering with other MQ IDS global leaders
• Reinforce compliance and ethics expectations

Solution Delivery

• Align priorities with MQ Tech Lead Team that are related to MQ Digital Strategy for Quality Management Systems, manage resource and trade-offs to deliver those priorities.
• Ensure all aspects of solution delivery adhere to Lilly standards and SOPs for architecture, development, testing and validation.
• Manage the demand and capacity management process between the service provider and the in-scope technology area. Drive execution leveraging Agile methodology and best practices.
• Eliminate barriers to ensure services are delivered on time, on budget.
• Work with MQ IDS Sr Director and staff to regularly update strategy and plan to achieve. Communicate strategy throughout the organization.
• Manage release and deployment schedules.
• Ensure 3rd party service and software provider is executing services in accordance with appropriate in-scope validation strategies.
• Serve as System Custodian and/or Product Manager for the designated area applications.

• Be Engaging - We need a leader who will engage the a broad and diverse team focused on streamlining business processes using automated solutions and new capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence and data integration using modern API platforms.

What You Should Bring:

• Strong understanding of QMS Lab business processes and Computer System Validation.
• Ability to influence across Executive to Front Line and engage at both the operational and strategic level.
• Demonstrated project management abilities, including Agile, to lead complex projects through the management of scope, financials, timelines, issues, and risks.
• Experience working with modern technology stack including cloud based solutions, Artificial Intelligence, and Vision Analytics.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant leadership experience leading, delivering and/or supporting enterprise IT platforms within a highly regulated industry

Additional Preferences:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.

• Knowledge of Pharma, Manufacturing, and Lab Operations

• Solid skills in problem analysis and problem solving.

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

• Proven teamwork/interpersonal skills

• Passion for working on a team from diverse backgrounds

• Familiarity with Agile concepts, methodology and framework

• Some (5) domestic and/or international travel will be required
