PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES Under general supervision and following standardized procedures, assists on a wide range of coordinating, control and expediting tasks to monitor and enhance vendor delivery performance to scheduled delivery dates. Assists on purchasing materials used in direct production. ESSENTIAL DUTIES – other duties may be assigned
  1. Maintains purchasing records and files; maintaining accurate data in the system and runs routine data analysis. Enters and prepares status change reports to monitor transactions.
  2. Acts as liaison between Purchasing, Production Control, Manufacturing departments, and vendors/suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of parts and suppliers to coordinate reschedules.
  3. Work in co-op with staff if needed to complete projects
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  1. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
  2. Proficient in spoken and written English
  3. Bachelor's degree in supply chain or studying toward a degree in Supply chain or related field.
  4. Preferred experience working in an office environment.
  5. Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws.
  6. Must be able to administer established programs with general supervision.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  2. The ability to work as part of a team.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  5. Effective communication skills.
  6. Detail-oriented.
