The Kansas City Mavericks are looking for driven, enthusiastic interns to join our team during the 2024 - 2025 season.  The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors at all levels (both internally and externally) and take pride in all work completed.  The individual needs to be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines.  Individual must also have the ability to work independently, take initiative, provide solutions, and make informed decisions.

Essential Duties
  • Learn ticket sales strategies and techniques, develop plan to increase group sales over the course of the season
  • Provide gameday support to the ticket sales staff, answer incoming calls prior to opening gates and man the concourse table during games
  • Learn Ticketmaster and Archtics sales system
  • Interact with Season Ticket Holders and individual game attendees, answer ticket specific questions and resolve situations as necessary
  • Help gameday staff with door giveaways, intermission activities, and other various theme night promotions
  • Other roles and responsibilities may be required

Qualifications
  • Current college student (undergraduate or graduate).  Must be able to receive course credit.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in professional sports and/or entertainment industry
  • Self-starter mentality and desire to take initiative
  • Must be able to work all home games (nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
