Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Surveyor for our Goldstrike operations. The successful candidate will provide a high-level of accurate surveying and sampling to the Mining Group as part of the open pit mining operation.

Responsibilities:
Must demonstrate Safety Leadership and safety-consciousness, teamwork and cooperation, honest and open communication, reliability and promptness, and consistency and accuracy of work Good communication and customer service skills. Must be able to communicate with Operations and Engineering (mine plan, design, etc). Must be able to manage time accordingly to meet operation needs. Both solo and with team members Conventional traverse surveying and generation of development layouts (cutsheets for face advance), control points, line and grade calculations with use of lasers, completion scans for volume determination, mark-up of production rings, drill hole collars, etc. Generate appropriate emails for information sharing around stopes or other mining processes Organize daily workload and effectively communicate progress on a daily passdown Demonstrate ability to use surveying equipment, including Vulcan and Deswik softwares Demonstrate ability to take-on additional projects as new technologies or systems are introduced Demonstrate ability to work with Excel (formulas, troubleshooting, and formatting) Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation through honest and open communication Demonstrate ability and willingness to train others Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
College Degree or Certificate preferred 1 year previous underground survey experience preferred Previous experience with Leica survey instruments and software preferred Previous experience with Deswik or Vulcan software preferred Previous experience with Microsoft office suite preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment preferred Be proactive and able to communicate concerns preferred Be able to communicate across different departments preferred Be able to lift 50 lbs required Valid U.S. driver's license required
