Summary

About the Position: Serves as Librarian in the Ike Skelton Combined Arms Research Library (CARL), a world class research facility for the study of military art and science at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) and Army University (ArmyU). CARL also provides educational and recreational resources to the Fort Leavenworth community.



Duties
  • Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance and data integrity of core library systems that include the Integrated Library System (ILS) and associated resource discovery system.
  • Act as CARL primary point of contact in utilizing a variety of technologies to provide the best possible experience for library patrons and staff.
  • Coordinate implementation of new systems and products, as well as enhancements to current CARL systems.
  • Oversee and manage collection development, acquisition, cataloging, and processing of materials for CARL.
  • As the Chief, Technical Services, coordinates the activities of professional level librarians and library technicians.
