SUMMARY:              

Installation, repair, and maintain all manufacturing, facilities, and infrastructure machinery and systems.  Perform necessary preventive maintenance to equipment and provide support to production in consistent conformance with customer expectations. Support all continuous improvement activities.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Follow safety first work methods and procedures to avoid injury to self and co-workers or damage to company property, including use of all required personal protective equipment, following safety precautions (e.g. LOTO), ensuring proper machine guards, etc.
  2. Provide quick response to maintenance requests and calls from maintenance leadership and manufacturing operations teams.
  3. Follow proper housekeeping standards to ensure clean and organized maintenance work areas.
  4. Operate motorized equipment, including but not limited to scissor lifts, JLGs, fork trucks, etc.
  5. Lubricate and oil machinery as needed.
  6. Perform necessary preventive maintenance to all equipment to insure proper operation. Document all preventive maintenance.
  7. Make necessary repairs to equipment such as replacing bearings, repairing relays, switches and gearboxes, etc.
  8. Installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic, pneumatic, Water, welding gas equipment. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
  9. Must be able to work from ladders, lifts, and at different heights to perform duties.
  10. Maintain, sustain and continuously improve VSG Preventative Maintenance program.
  11. Perform any required maintenance welding, using electric arc or gas processes as needed.
  12. Repairs and maintains physical structure of facility.
  13. Perform facility infrastructure equipment and electrical repairs & installations.
  14. Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all type of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  15. Install of new machinery, and relocate new machinery as needed; ensure machinery is set up properly.
  16. Complete work assignments as directed.
  17. Assist with spare parts inventory.
  18. Logging work hours in CMMS system
  19. Assist in root cause analysis utilizing Dover fast problem-solving methodology.
  20. Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

    • Be able to reach overhead, reach at shoulder level, reach at knee and floor level.
    • Bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, ladder/stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, neck extension/rotation, shoulder circumduction, lying supine and using vibratory tools also required
    • Handling and lifting up to 70 lbs. required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: High school graduate with at least two years of verifiable experience in three of the following mechanical, machine shop, hydraulic, electrical or automation disciplines.

Experience:  Should be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics and apply them to repair equipment and to order necessary parts.  Should be able to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and relay logic controls.

Personal Tool Requirements: Following is a list of tools employee must provide to perform this job.

- Welder Hood

- Mechanical Tools Necessary to Perform Job per tool list.

- Voltage Tester

- V.O.M. (Analog satisfactory)

Supervision: Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager for job assignments and instructions. Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibility: Exercises moderate degree of judgment.  Questionable matters referred to the supervisor for assistance.
