Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a Wealth Underwriting team of individual contributors (and managers depending on team scale) in roles with moderate to high complexity and riskProvide vision and set direction for multiple high-impact initiatives including high net worth and ultra-high net worth mortgage underwriting policy development and implementation and risk-related deliverablesProvide thought leadership to develop and implement strategic solutions to ensure prudent credit decisions and a seamless mortgage experience for the client, advisor and bankerEngage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with Wealth Underwriting functional area or who are affected by its outcomes, including Home Lending Operations and Risk teamsIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Wealth Mortgage Underwriting functionsInterpret and develop policies and procedures within Wealth Underwriting functional area for operations with moderate complexity within scope of responsibilityManage allocation of people and financial resources for Wealth Underwriting including ongoing leadership for domestic and offshore staff to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in business group.Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategyEngage and influence business heads, control management, risk, legal, and audit partners to successfully ensure appropriate management of business risk.Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management
