This position is a Senior Director-level position reporting to the Vice President of Global Safety, Risk & Security (GSRS). The Senior Director is a strategic leader responsible for identifying and mitigating risks for the organization through an appropriate risk management strategy that aligns to Iron Mountain's financial objectives, core values, and culture.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Directing the purchase/renewal of insurance policies and claims management.
  2. Managing third-party service providers including brokers, insurers, and TPAs.
  3. Preparing loss analyses and budgets, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, and implementing approved programs.
  4. Promoting loss prevention and updating compliance with insurance procedures.
  5. Managing risk management manuals and processes.
  6. Achieving strategic objectives and ensuring effective insurance risk management across all business units.
  7. Identifying, measuring, and managing insurable risks, developing reports and plans, and analyzing risk/insurance problems.
  8. Mitigating financial impact during crisis events by leveraging the organization’s insurance portfolio.

Global Insurance Renewal:

  1. Lead strategy and outcomes for global insurance renewals in collaboration with Finance & Accounting.
  2. Negotiate all insurance and claims management terms and conditions.
  3. Responsible for all phases of risk budgeting and maintaining global insurance compliance.

Claims Management and Oversight:

  1. Mitigate organization's exposure to risk by formulating, developing, and coordinating all claims-related activities.
  2. Direct a program to ensure the proper and efficient handling of claims.
  3. Manage accountabilities in the administration of first and third-party worker's compensation claims.

Crisis Management:

  1. Work with key stakeholders to support events and provide insurance-related guidance.
  2. Liaison with cross-functional teams including finance, accounting, operations, procurement, and legal.
