Park Ranger

As the Park Ranger in this position, you will:

Support the Outdoor Recreation program, assisting with daily field operations and monitoring patrols at multiple recreation sites within the assigned areas of operation. Sites include campgrounds, day-se areas, dispersed sites, Wild & Scenic River put-ins, and off-highway vehicle (OHV) areas.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Providing the public with safe, accessible, and quality recreation opportunities.
Monitoring conditions and use of public lands, waterways, and recreation sites using watercraft, vehicles, and on foot.
Contacting public to support permit compliance, answer questions about use of public lands, educate visitors in "Leave No Trace" principles, safe recreation practices, fire prevention, etc.
Performing day to day operations and minor maintenance tasks at recreational facilities, including developed fee sites, river access sites, dispersed camping sites, trails, trailheads, and other recreational facilities.
Presenting a positive image of the BLM and conducting visitor contact in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner while wearing official BLM uniform.
