Overview


We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical as well as basic HVAC/PTAC maintenance. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible, along with the Building Engineer, for ensuring the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of our facilities.



Work Experience

Responsibilities:


  1. Conduct routine inspections of all interior and exterior surfaces to assess needs and identify areas for maintenance.
  2. Promptly respond to calls from Housekeeping and Front Desk for guest room and building issues.
  3. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
  4. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Perform touch-up and repair work on painted surfaces to maintain a uniform appearance.
  6. Apply and maintain caulking throughout the prooerty.
  7. Coordinate with the Building Engineer and General Manager to schedule preventive maintenance projects and minimize disruptions to daily operations.
  8. Maintain accurate records of supply inventory, usage, and equipment maintenance.
  9. With the Building Engineer, maintain weekly detailed records of preventative maintenance performed in guest rooms.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with painting materials and equipment.
  11. Assist in other maintenance tasks led by the Building Engineer, such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work.

Work Experience

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.
  2. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship with the ability to produce high-quality work.
  3. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  4. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
  5. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  6. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate guestsâ needs, maintenance needs and projects.
  7. Professional maintenance-related or equipment certifications are a plus.
