Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical as well as basic HVAC/PTAC maintenance. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible, along with the Building Engineer, for ensuring the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of our facilities.
Work Experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of all interior and exterior surfaces to assess needs and identify areas for maintenance.
- Promptly respond to calls from Housekeeping and Front Desk for guest room and building issues.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform touch-up and repair work on painted surfaces to maintain a uniform appearance.
- Apply and maintain caulking throughout the prooerty.
- Coordinate with the Building Engineer and General Manager to schedule preventive maintenance projects and minimize disruptions to daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of supply inventory, usage, and equipment maintenance.
- With the Building Engineer, maintain weekly detailed records of preventative maintenance performed in guest rooms.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with painting materials and equipment.
- Assist in other maintenance tasks led by the Building Engineer, such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work.
Work Experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship with the ability to produce high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate guestsâ needs, maintenance needs and projects.
- Professional maintenance-related or equipment certifications are a plus.
