Job Description:

The Analyst, Data Science will have the unique opportunity to blend high level strategic thinking with intensive data analytics to drive insights and recommendations for Ventas’ Senior Housing portfolio (800+ properties, $1B+ in Net Operating Income). The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with portfolio management, investments, and operating partners to identify pockets of opportunity within and outside of Ventas’ current portfolio. Responsibilities:

Build and manage data pipelines for the ingestion and analysis of structured and unstructured data from operating partners and other third parties

Develop controls and workflows to ensure quality and accuracy of data

Design, develop, and enhance proprietary models to improve competitive and operational intelligence

Utilize our proprietary data sets and predictive analytics to improve our ability to forecast KPIs such as rate, occupancy, mix, etc.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic insights on growth and investment opportunities (acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopment, etc.)

Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience ; m ay lead small teams or small projects

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics or similar field

2+ years’ experience in data science, data engineering, or technology consulting

Ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems within a dynamic environment

Proficiency in Python and data modeling required; DAX, Airflow/Dagster a plus

Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; must be capable of explaining complex information to others in a straightforward manner

Ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks and relationships in a fast-paced, team- oriented and lean environment

Knowledge and interest in real estate and health care are a plus
