This position is responsible for performing all maintenance functions as directed by the Maintenance Group Leader and/or Maintenance Manager

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

Knowledge of controls, electrical, HVAC mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsStrong understanding of general maintenance processes and methodsPerform Preventative Maintenance of equipment per OEM standardsElectrical troubleshooting of equipment, fixtures, and toolingUtilize a sense of urgency when completing assigned tasks / equipment, fixture, and tooling repairsComplete daily work orders / PM’s according to their assigned level of importanceMaintain accurate work order information within the maintenance management systemPromptly inform Maintenance leadership team of equipment downtime, potential issues or abnormalitiesExperienced in operating a variety of equipment, including cranes, hoists, forklifts, scissor / boom lifts and common power toolsMaintain a safe / clean work environment by complying with procedures and regulations.Work with technicians, Engineers, Maintenance Leadership and Technical Support Contractors to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problemsSupport project work and continuous improvement effortsPerform adjustments and/or make corrections on equipment to reach optimum capabilities

Nature & Scope

Reports to Maintenance Group Lead and Maintenance Manager

Minimum Qualifications

Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment testsHigh school diploma3-5 years of maintenance support experience1-2 years of electrical troubleshooting experienceJourneyman status or equivalent in a specific trade skill (i.e.: millwright, ironworker, electrician, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Certificate / Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience5-7 years of maintenance support experience3-5 years of electrical troubleshooting experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

Knowledge and Adherence of all JCB Safety PoliciesSafely use electrical devices i.e. multimeter, voltage tester, and infrared thermometerCapable of interpreting blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical manualsOperate designated machinery and proactively service equipment as neededAbility to work individually and be self-directed with minimum supervisionEffective working in a team environment.Flexibility in work environment and activities; available for overtimeAbility to operate equipment as needed, lift loads, climb ladders, wear a respirator and perform strenuous laborMust wear Personal Protective Equipment as requiredManufacturing process knowledge in the areas of: Assembly, Fabrication and PaintSelf-motivated and self-directedSound analytical skills with a practical balance of “shop floor” experienceStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment as required

Physical Requirements

Flexible schedule sometimes required to support equipment repair and integration efforts.  This could include 12-hour shifts / 7 days a weekMust be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbsMust be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.  These activities may involve fine movements or large motionsMust be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wristMust be capable of keeping pace with current production speedMust be able to push/pull with reasonable forceMust be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of timeMust be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment
