Pizza Oven Cook

The Oven position is the piece de resistance of the restaurant. The oven itself is the centerpiece of all Timber Pizza restaurants, and the Oven position is responsible for ensuring pizzas are cooked to perfection. The Oven must also make sure to find the right balance of speed and consistency when delivering pies to the expo. This is accomplished by ensuring the oven is properly cleaned, maintained, and kept to temperature.

The Requirements

The Details

Arrives for shift on time and in proper work attire.Assists Prep, Pizza Line, and Expo in completing Opening Procedures to ensure BOH is properly stocked, organized, and clean for service.Prepares oven to be ready to cook at open.Assists Pizza Line and Expo when needed and able.Keeps Expo and Pizza line up to date on what’s in the oven.Maintains communication with Expo to advise guests of wait times.Quality controls pizzas going into the oven. Communicates with the Pizza Line when ingredients and toppings need to be adjustedCooks pizzas to Timber standards.Monitors and restocks wood throughout shift.Communicates with staff when oven needs to be sweeped and/or cleanedActively communicates with team members throughout the shift to ensure a seamless guest experience.Actively assists team members when required.Follows Timber protocol for handling service breakdowns/guest complaints.Adheres to Timber food safety & sanitation standards throughout the shift.Assists Pizza Line and Expo in completing Closing Procedures to ensure BOH is properly shut down at end of service.Completes side work duties as assigned.May complete deep cleaning tasks, per schedule.May complete other duties as assigned.
