Barber Instructor

We are seeking a motivated and talented Barber Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the skills and knowledge of future barbers, preparing them for successful careers in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Deliver a comprehensive barbering curriculum, adhering to Washington State licensing requirementsProvide hands-on instruction in all aspects of barbering, including haircutting techniques, shaving, styling, and client consultationEvaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvementMaintain a positive and professional learning environment, fostering a passion for the barbering craftStay current with the latest barbering trends and techniques through continuing educationContribute to the overall success of the barbering program by participating in program development and improvement initiatives.Correspond with outside vendors and agencies regarding payments, supplies, orders and student enrollmentsVerify timecards for studentsSchedule customer appointmentsConduct new student orientation classesPrepare facility for educational inspectionsCompile and distribute student progress reportsOther duties as assigned
This person will work closely alongside with and report directly to the owner.
Qualifications:
Washington State Barber Instructor License Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed barberProven teaching experience preferred, but not requiredExcellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skillsAbility to create a positive and supportive learning environment for studentsStrong work ethic, passion for the barbering industry, and a commitment to student successProven history of working independently, with minimal supervisionPrior experience counting cash and/or conducting business related bank depositsKnowledge of MindBody or similar client scheduling softwareAbility set up chat messages, files, folders and interface with Microsoft Teams and use other Microsoft products
