Group Summary

 

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

This position reports directly to the Sr. HR Business Partner and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below:
 

Your Responsibilities

•    To display a fair and consistent management approach by following the principles of The Magna Employee’s Charter to help ensure a satisfied workplace for all employees.
•    To support the following of Company policies and business objectives while performing the specific responsibilities of your job.
•    To participate in continuous improvement activities that enhances the working environment at Decostar. 
•    Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of Decostar to provide for a safe and healthful workplace.  Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected.  Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.

Who we are looking for

•    Develop and execute recruiting plans.
•    Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees.
•    Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
•    Develop and track measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process so that the processes are transparent and measurable. Set continuous improvement goals.
•    Administrative duties and recordkeeping as it pertains to the application, offer and onboard process.
•    Design and develop the engagement and communications strategy and supporting plans. 
•    Manage communications channels to ensure consistency and relevance. 
•    Advise key internal stakeholders on employee engagement initiatives ensuring alignment with the vision and principles and values. 
•    Manage all relevant intranet post, ensuring that content is kept up to date. 
•    Ensure brand consistency. 
•    To be responsible for the successful delivery of engagement events within agreed cost and quality parameters.
•    Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all dealings.
•    Must be able to work extended hours, as required.
•    Must be able to travel and obtain required travel documents, as needed.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Your preferred qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in HR, Business Administration, or related field of study
•    Must be able to communicate in English.

•    Previous Recruitment/ HR-related experience required; preferably  in a manufacturing related environment 
•    Demonstrated strong organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
•    Must have strong interpersonal influence and problem solving skills.
•    Must have experience in using Microsoft Office software applications.
