Saint Louis University is currently seeking a breast imaging and interventional radiologist to join our breast imaging division. Join an experienced team of 4 breast radiologists in a department of 40 attending radiologists, recognized for its focus on lifelong learning and friendly collaboration. Work with and teach 36 radiology residents - this program is renowned for fostering independence in participants through hands-on learning.
We are an ACR Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center (formally called ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, providing state of the art, comprehensive care, with the following:
Tomosynthesis / 3D mammography equipment with experienced mammography technologistsProne tomosynthesis / 3D biopsy table2 dedicated breast ultrasound units with Elastography and experienced 2 full-time experienced breast sonographers3T Magnet for breast MRI and MRI-guided breast biopsies. MRI utilizes Dynacad software. Magseed for image-guided localizations prior to surgeryBreast Imaging Fellowship, starting July 2024Nurse navigators, biopsy nurses, and High Risk nurseVolpara breast density software, CRA Health risk assessment software, and experienced genetic counselorsExperienced breast surgeon directly adjacent to our breast imaging officeTranspara AI software for mammography
Position Details
0.8 to 1.0 FTE breast imagingNo nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no call on breast imaging scheduleCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience, plus additional bonus potential and excellent benefitsPotential for a hybrid schedule with some remote work Generous vacation Administration days Interpretation of digital mammography and tomosynthesis, breast and axillary ultrasounds, breast MRI, and perform all image guided breast and axillary procedures and localizationsParticipate in biweekly breast tumor boardParticipate in Breast Imaging Fellowship Consortium with weekly virtual lecturesBe engaged in breast imaging fellow, radiology resident and medical student educationOpportunities for research
Qualifications:
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
M.D. or D.O. (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for full medical licensure in MissouriBoard certified or eligible in Diagnostic RadiologyBreast imaging fellowship preferred (experience considered in lieu of a breast imaging fellowship)Proficient in all aspects of breast imaging, including mammography, tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided breast procedures, and localizationsMQSA compliant Have a compassionate bedside mannerBe a team player
