Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a experienced Senior .Net Developer. This position is open to be 100% remote


Your Responsibilities:

  • Import data from a variety of sources and media and converts received data into usable formats that can be used with variable print software to produce customize print pieces.
  • Write code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures
  • Create and maintain business logic for multiple data sets including direct mail address processing and standardization: merge / purge, ACE and grouping multiple addresses into a single household and so forth
  • Create and follow test scripts to test programs and processes to ensure they work properly and meet client requirements. Correct any problems encountered during testing.
  • Provide technical documentation of applications including flow charts, specifications and end user documentation
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on coding standards
  • Maintain, fix and enhance existing software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customers
  • Advise, monitor, and direct offshore developers to make sure they follow coding standards
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Production to assist with print issues
  • Performs Code reviews

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years' experience working with .NET 4.0 or higher and the Microsoft technology platform
  • Well versed with MS SQL. Ability to write and understand complex SQL query
  • Experience with SOAP API and REST API
  • Knowledge of any data platform (ETL)
  • Experience in source code management (GitHub)
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written communication form to internal/external, staff and management
  • Handle frequent interruptions yet refocus on the task at hand or determine the most important tasks. Adapt to a fast paced, high stress and changing environment
  • Ensure information can be found easily and tasks are completed on time. Pay attention to details.
  • Solid analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work with limited direction on assignments
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or greater
  • C#, .NET Framework and or Java

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Industry experience including direct marketing, e-commerce, print, graphic design and insurance and financial services
