Job Description:

Reporting to the Security Manager, the Site Security Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the leadership and administration of security operations at their assigned site(s). The employee is expected to work with minimal supervision. He or she will provide oversight, general leadership, and direction to security staff. Additionally, employee will partner with key stakeholders to improve the security posture of the site. In the absence or at the direction of the Manager, the employee will assume the role of incident commander during major events. The Site Security Supervisor may have direct reports depending on the needs of the organization.

[ads1] Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site assessment surveys and patrols to ensure site integrity
  • Any other assigned security or safety duties as required
  • Provide leadership, training, and development to security professionals
  • Provide physical security presence to de-escalate and mitigate threats against Tesla property and personnel (less than 5%)
  • Draft SOP, Post Orders, and Policy for manager review
  • Provide backup leadership capabilities for other security teams and sites as needed.
  • Assume overall leadership of Security Operations in the absence of the Associate Manager
  • Exercise independent judgment in directing the activities of the security staff
  • Partner with HR, Safety, and other stakeholders to resolve security incidents
  • Coordinate emergency response for medical, fire, or other emergency incidents
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Formal training in verbal de-escalation preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead emergency operations
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Former law enforcement, military, emergency operations, or emergency medical experience highly desired
  • Ability to drive and have a clean driving record (will be verified during pre-employment screening)
