Details on openings:

 

Shifts: A, B, C, D

A Shift: Sunday - Tuesday with EOW from 7am - 7pm

B Shift: Sunday - Tuesday with EOW from 7pm - 7am

C Shift: Thursday - Saturday with EOW from 7am - 7pm

D Shift: Thursday - Saturday with EOW from 7pm - 7am

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

End Of Line Operator 

  • Operate high-speed packaging and palletizing equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment
  • Set machine to increase/decrease number of cases selected for different size formats
  • Reset robotic arm positions after line shut down
  • Load packaging materials into packaging machine and palletizing machine
  • Set machine to increase/decrease number of pouches selected for different size packaging sleeves
  • Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
  • Observe/inspect materials to identify contamination, foreign materials, uniformity, and quality
  • Operate industrial carts and power hand carts
  • Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Clean packaging and palletizing area and sanitize equipment
  • Complete daily paperwork and reports
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours

Bossar Operator 

  • Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
  • Lift and add rolls of packaging film into machine
  • Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
  • Inspect pouches for uniformity and quality
  • Document all necessary supply inventories
  • Operate industrial carts and forklifts in a safe manner
  • Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
  • Complete daily paperwork and reports
  • Perform and complete sensory testing
  • Must work a minimum of 12 hours
  • Responsible to support a food safety and food quality culture

Tetrapak Operator

  • Operation of Tetra Pak machine – mixing of materials and products
  • Load ingredients into Tetra Pak machine according to Materne’s specifications.
  • Work with computer interface to monitor equipment
  • Read schematics and diagrams to monitor machine activity (flow, machine status, temperature settings, level indication)
  • Testing of PH levels, viscosity levels, brix levels, flavor additives using quality devices
  • Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
  • Receive / inspect materials and accept or reject based on Materne’s specifications
  • Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
  • Detect equipment problems and troubleshoot
  • Operate industrial carts, power hand carts, and hi-lo’s
  • Inspect product as it moves through manufacturing process for quality
  • Complete paperwork and document down time

Facilities Sanitation Tech

  • Perform the duties of sanitation as described in the programs and systems including but not limited to sanitation, environmental monitoring, quality and food safety standards for the plant.
    • Rinse, wash, and sanitize equipment and areas as needed to reduce cross contamination risk as pertains to food safety of finished product and ingredients. Including but not limited to the sanitation of:
      • Common Areas such as break rooms, locker rooms, and restrooms as well as trash, waste, recycling equipment, and grounds.
    • Lead, monitor, and report on chemical usage and movement of chemicals within the common areas of the plant and ensure compliance of chemical concentrations, cleaning frequency, and sanitary conditions.
    • Train, educate, and mentor team members on sanitary practices and good housekeeping.
  • Participate in and initiate continuous improvement with Sanitation Leadership and team members to drive a world class sanitation program.
    • Effectively communicate opportunities, inventory status, continuous improvement efforts, etc. to the Sanitation Supervisor.
    • Investigate, respond, and report internal customer feedback regarding product food safety and quality issues as they pertain to sanitation.

Ixapack Operator

  • Operate high-speed packaging equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment
  • Reset robotic arm positions after line shut down
  • Load packaging materials into packaging machine
  • Set machine to increase/decrease number of pouches selected for different size packaging sleeves
  • Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
  • Observe/inspect materials to identify contamination,  foreign materials, uniformity and quality
  • Operate industrial carts and power hand carts
  • Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
  • Complete daily paperwork and reports
  • Perform and complete sensory testing

Apple Sorter

  • Inspect, sort and remove bad apples and foreign material from the production line.
    • Assist with providing guidance and coaching to temporary associates or others assigned to apple sorting to ensure that work is being performed to standard, including proper defect identification.
  • Assist with housekeeping, general sanitation and clean-up activities.
  • Assist with raw material waste removal
  • Assist with cinnamon weighing and other tasks as needed
  • Must work a minimum of 12 hours

Palletizer Operator

  • Operate high-speed palletizing equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment
  • Reset robotic arm positions after line shut down
  • Load materials into palletizing machine
  • Set machine to increase/decrease number of cases selected for different size formats
  • Observe/inspect materials to identify contamination,  foreign materials, uniformity and quality
  • Operate industrial carts, power hand carts, and forklifts
  • Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Clean palletizing area and sanitize equipment
  • Complete daily paperwork and reports
  • Clearly communicate machine issues to team members, both upstream and downstream
  • Assist with rework when needed on our Case Packer Machine
  • May be required to hand stack cases
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours

Maintenance Tech

  • Occasionally perform and/or coordinate maintenance and basic repairs for the building and facilities 
  • Remove, replace, rebuild, install various pumps for different processes, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic.
  • Work with vacuum and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding and fabrication of stainless steel, aluminum steel, or carbon steel (MIG, TIG, Stick)
  • Machining experience with Mills, Drills, Shears, Brakes, Lathes, Punches, Grinders, and other shop equipment.
  • Occasionally perform and/or coordinate maintenance of the grounds and property, including waste removal, snow removal, landscaping, etc.
  • Technical troubleshooting for Controls, Electrical, Instrumentation, and some Mechanical Systems
  • Support production lines as an on-call basis if necessary
  • Reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams
  • Rebuild and perform calibration/verification of equipment
  • Read and understand technical manuals to diagnose failures within the facility
  • Maintain an accurate activity log in the CMMS
  • Wire and install new equipment for continuous improvement projects at the requests of project managers
  • Consult with controls engineers on programming improvements for new projects and existing equipment
  • Read and set device parameters such as VFD’s, soft motor starts, and motor contacts
  • Use test equipment such as multimeters, motor megger, oscilloscope, 4-20mA meters, thermocouple RTD readers/testers, offline motor tester
  • Work with 480V AC, 3-phase; 240V AC, 3/2 Phase; 120 V AC 3/2/1 Phase; and 24 VDC process signals of 4-20mA and 0-10VDC
  • Troubleshoot and replace motor starters, VFD’s, servo drives, electrical disconnects, breakers, fuses, relays, and safety circuits
  • Use teach pendant for moving robots
  • Use process readings and perform mechanical and parameter offsets with appropriate documentation and follow-up
  • Attend daily maintenance and production hand-off meetings
  • Communicate through work orders and emails in an organized, productive, professional manner
  • Work a flexible schedule as required
  • Provide OJT for technicians regarding electrical and instrumentation problem solving
  • All other duties as assigned

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift (8-12 hours)
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

 

Qualifications:

Education

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Technical / Trade School preferred

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
