Job Summary
The University Clery Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) at both the Clayton State University and Atlanta Metropolitan State College campuses. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Clery Act compliance, including data collection, reporting, training, and policy development. The Clery Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all Clery Act-related inquiries and works closely with various departments across the university to promote a safe and secure campus environment. This position will also support the daily operations of the department parking management and records programs.

Responsibilities
Serve as the University's subject-matter expert, Clery Coordinator, and Chair of the Clery Committees at both campuses.
Ensure the university's compliance with all Clery Act requirements by staying abreast of relevant regulations and guidelines, conducting annual policy reviews, and implementing necessary updates.
Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate records of campus crime and safety-related data, including crime reports, arrests, disciplinary referrals, and campus security policies. Prepare and submit timely and accurate Clery Act reports and statistics to the Department of Education and other relevant agencies.
Develop, review, update, and disseminate Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports in accordance with Clery Act regulations.
Develop, review, and update university policies and procedures related to campus safety, crime prevention, emergency response, and victim assistance. Collaborate with campus stakeholders to ensure policies align with Clery Act requirements and best practices.
Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to raise awareness of Clery Act requirements and campus safety initiatives among faculty, staff, and students. Provide guidance and support to university departments in fulfilling their Clery Act obligations.
Oversee the implementation of campus security programs, including crime prevention initiatives, emergency preparedness drills, and security patrols. Monitor the effectiveness of these programs and recommend enhancements as needed.
Serve as the central point of contact for Clery Act-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, campus security authorities, and the Department of Education. Foster positive relationships with campus partners to facilitate information sharing and collaboration on safety initiatives.
Conduct periodic reviews and audits of campus security practices, policies, and procedures to identify areas of non-compliance and opportunities for improvement. Develop corrective action plans and monitor their implementation to ensure ongoing compliance with Clery Act requirements.
Support the operations of the department by providing administrative support to the Atlanta Metropolitan State College campus commander, managing the parking registration, parking appeals, and citation processes.
Fulfilling records requests and processing department records.
Provide customer service to members of the community requesting services over the phone or in person.
Comply with Campus Security Authority responsibilities under the Clery Act.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Possess a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, public administration, business management, legal studies, or other closely related field or possess four years of equivalent training and experience in Clery compliance or other legal compliance topics.
Be at least 18 years of age

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Thorough understanding of the Clery Act and other relevant federal and state laws governing campus safety and security.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present complex data accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
